North East Sustainable Resources Board Annual Conference
The Annual Conference of the North East Sustainable Resources Board will take place on Thursday 17th May 2012, at theXcel Centre in Newton Aycliffe, and we would be delighted if you would join us for this event.
The Board was officially launched in January 2010 to provide vision and leadership to promote and develop the concept of waste as a resource, and maximise the commercial opportunities from those resources in the North East. It encourages collaborative working between the public and private sectors.
The Conference will begin with registration at 9.00am, with a welcome address from our interim Chair, John Barton and keynote speech from Ray Georgeson of the Resource Association.
We will then hear updates on some of the exciting projects the Board is undertaking, including some on construction and retail waste, energy-from-waste and building a sustainable home, plus how to manage waste effectively in the home. There will be an opportunity to sign up for a site visit at a later date to a sustainable home, kindly arranged by local construction company, Frank Haslam Milan.
There will be an opportunity for networking and visiting exhibitions of local resource industries during the lunch break. The event will end at around 2.00pm.
The cost of the event is £25 per person, plus booking fee, which will include refreshments and a buffet lunch. A limited number of exhibition spaces are available at £100 per stand, plus booking fee.
We look forward to seeing you on the day!
