Admec, the largest operator of road sweeping vehicles in the North, has secured a six-figure investment to expand its waste treatment facility.
The £200,000 investment has come from the Finance For Business North East Growth Fund, administered by regional fund management firm NEL Fund Managers. It will be used to help expand and refine the waste treatment facility, allowing the company to process an increasing amount of recycleable materials.
With a fleet of 23 vehicles and an expanding operational area, Admec is the only road sweeping business in the UK to have a licence to run its own waste treatment facility. The company believes that the investment will enable annual double-digit growth in its turnover thanks to the faster reprocessing of materials which it will allow.
Jane Siddle of NEL said: “Admec has both a very strong industry track record, and the vision and capacity to make further enhancements to the services it offers as opportunities arise to do so.”
