National Renewable Energy Centre Launches Website Dedicated To Onshore Technologies

The UK’s National Renewable Energy Centre has launched a new website covering its wide range of consultancy and training activities to support onshore renewable energy technologies.

This is for the part of the organisation known as Narec Distributed Energy.

Narec Distributed Energy is an independent not-for-profit organisation working within the renewable and low carbon sector, particularly within the built environment. Through their work they help their clients reduce carbon, alleviate fuel poverty, improve energy security, stimulate economic growth and educate energy users.

They support organisations in the development of their staff in the advancing of renewable technologies and offer a wide range of training programmes for both installers and those managing large scale projects.

Narec Distributed Energy’s main focus is working with cities to produce whole energy strategies. Other areas the organisation works on include a £1.9m fuel poverty alleviation project funded by the European Union, and two multinational European Framework Program 7 projects.

The new website features Narec Distributed Energy case studies, an easy to use booking system for training courses and seminars, free software for schools and strategic/technical documents as well as detailing the wide range of services offered.

The website has been designed and built by Newcastle based firm 21Inspired.
